We paid to have it professionally reconditioned, and have cut 500 plus lenses on it since. It is paired to an Ice 9000 Intelligent blocker, and has many new parts, such as all tubing, internal components, and the swivel chuck head. It’s definitely ready to go to work!
This set can cut all materials, except glass, and has 74,348 cuts on its life. The sale includes the edger, Ice blocker, a hand stone, a bucket, two pumps, stocking, downtube, some blocks, the blocker accessories, and some leap pads.
What makes this set extremely special is the drilling, Design Cut software, and the Ice blocker. It helps assist with blocking accuracy, speed, customization, and can also talk to additional edgers; if you already have one, or later down the line, want to add more edgers to your lab. Next up is the Soft Grind mode feature, which helps greatly control slippage with slick AR coatings. Other notable features are the ME 1000 internals, they’re beefier, faster, and more accurate. This has always been my favorite edger, I use one daily in all our locations.
